Repairability is partly technical and partly emotional. Screws instead of glue help, but so do clear diagrams, available parts, and an object you want to keep. Pick an everyday item and describe one change that would make its next repair practical. What would the manufacturer need to support?

Standard fasteners are a good start. Discovering a proprietary screw after opening the case is an unnecessary obstacle.

Label the part inside the object. A repair manual is less useful if you cannot tell which revision you own.

  Publish the small parts as printable models when possible, with material and strength guidance.
